Every Number Here Is a Veteran Who Came Home to His Team

Warrior Ridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that reunites combat veterans with the teammates they served alongside through free, all-expenses-paid reconnection retreats. This is what that has added up to so far.

Why Reconnection Is the Work

Combat veterans are taking their own lives at a higher rate than any other demographic in America. Warrior Ridge exists to change that, and we do it in one specific way: we put a team back in the same place at the same time.

The bonds built in service are not ordinary friendships. They are the relationships that got these men and women through the worst days of their lives. When those bonds fade after homecoming, isolation fills the gap. Bringing a team back together is not a weekend getaway. It is a direct intervention against that isolation, and it is the reason every retreat is free and every team is invited back for life.

Teams We Have Reconnected

Warrior Ridge does not select individuals. We select whole teams, and once a team is chosen, every member is welcome back for the rest of their life.

Where Every Dollar Goes

It costs about $925 to bring one veteran to a reconnection retreat, and roughly $15,000 to fund a full team for a year. That covers travel, lodging, meals, and everything on the ground — kayaking on Laurel Fork and Kinniconick Creek, horsemanship, hiking across Lewis County, and fishing the two ponds on camp.

Not one dollar of it is billed to a veteran. Warrior Ridge is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 92-1839405, and gifts are fully tax-deductible.
